• August 23 – Gordon Michaels and Company
• August 30 – Pop, Rock & Doo-wop Dance Party by DJ Earl

Here is a little information about some of the artists from he series:

Days Gone By is an authentic a capella, doo-wop group, reminiscent of those great street corner doo-wop groups of the 50s and early 60s, that ushered in the \”new rock n’ roll\” sound. The group has been together in various incarnations for nearly 20 years. They bring back the sounds of the Drifters, Skyliners, Jesters, Belmonts and more.

Fat City brings to the stage an eclectic mix of funk, jumping blues, soul shaking R&B and tasty Rock favorites to create a seasoned gumbo.

Corner Shot is a four-piece band from the Sullivan and Orange County area specializing in rock, funk and anything that gets you moving to the beat. They play everything from 50s rockabilly on up to today’s hits. When they start groovin’, they get you movin’!

Gordon Michaels will perform a \”Tribute to Nat King Cole.\” Michaels presents his songs with a fiery passion, delivering tunes with enough embroidery to redesign, but not enough to totally overwhelm the melody. He has the ability to perform a tearjerker or humorous tune as he takes you from the dramatic to the comic with ease. You’ll fall in love with his amazing voice and presence on stage.

The Newburgh Doo-wop Series, Newburgh Jazz Series and Newburgh Gospel Series are public programming at the Newburgh’s Landing because many concert-goers wanted more. They would not be possible without the continued support of corporate partners such as Smileworks and Ferry Godmother Productions, both of whom are committed to serving the City of Newburgh community.

Be a part of this history-making event, and join the Ferry Godmother in bringing some of the greatest pop, rock and doo-wop recording legends of the 50s and 60s.
