Army Col. Dianne D. Pannes has completed a course of Study of National Security Policy Information at the Naval War College, Newport , RI.
Students studied military, economic, scientific, political, and other topics which effect the development of national security policy and strategy. Classes consisted of senior officers from all branches of service, including civilian executives from various government agencies. Attendees of the course were selected for their performance and future potential.
Pannes has served in the military for 25 years. She is the daughter of Nicholas Pannes of Howard Avenue, Jamestown. Her husband, David Vreeland, is the son of Dick Vreeland of Grange Road, Otisville.
Pannes graduated in 1986 from Ilion High School, and received a bachelor of science in 1990 from Cornell University, Ithaca. She also earned a doctor of dental surgery in 1994 from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
