Army Col. Jean E. Henderson

Army Col. Jean E. Henderson has graduated from the U.S. Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, Carlisle, Pa., and earned a master’s degree in strategic studies. The college is the Army’s senior educational institution.   

The 10-month curriculum of the Army’s senior officer school is designed to prepare and train officers of all the U.S. military branches of service, foreign military officers, as well as senior civilian officials of federal agencies, to serve in top-level command and staff positions with the U.S. Armed Forces worldwide.

She is currently serving as the assistant chief of staff for human resources with the 79th Sustainment Support Command, Joint Forces Training Base Los Alamitos, Calif. She has served in the military for 25 years.

Henderson is the daughter of Frank J. Kobes of Western Springs, Ill., niece of Pat Ivansheck of Salem, Conn., and wife of Eric P. Henderson.

She is a 1986 graduate of Wheaton North High School, Wheaton, Ill. She earned a bachelor’s degree in 1990 from United States Military Academy, West Point, N.Y.
