A Better Way to Organize Your Photos and Videos

By Samuel Wilson

Having a ton of photos and videos spread out over several devices can be hard to manage, but there are several ways to address this situation. One option, is using a product called Bevy. It  can securely store and collect videos and photos from multiple users and devices.  Files can be stored from Windows and Mac via software or mobile devices via an app (bevy.us).

To initially setup Bevy, an app needs to be installed on a Android or IOS device and this will allow the user to connect to Bevy for the first time in order to quickly configure it and add users. Once the initial setup is complete, users can access Bevy from their PC/Mac via software or from a mobile device, via an app. Bevy can be used independently without a computer if desired.

After taking a photo or video, users can manually or automatically upload it to Bevy’s internal hard drive.  The “auto upload” can be performed through WiFi, Bluetooth or USB. Files from Adobe Lightroom can be directly uploaded as well. Bevy allows users to upload and access photos and videos while on the go, which is awesome. Bevy also allows for remote invitations, which can grant access to friends and family outside the home. This enables them to access and contribute to photos and videos stored on your Bevy.

Content from USB Drives, SD Cards, and hard drives can be stored once they’re plugged into Bevy. This allows photos and videos to be stored in one location and duplicates are easily recognized and handled by Bevy. Accidental file deletion with Bevy, isn’t the end of the world. Files can be retrieved before they are permanently deleted. Files are permanently deleted by entering a four digit code, known as the family key.

Backups are very important, so Bevy allows  external USB Storage to be connected, so files can easily be backed up. If backing up to a external drive isn’t your thing, you’re able to use the desktop application to backup all the files to a PC or Mac.

Bevy allows users to create different profiles and adjust privacy settings to limit access to various photos and videos. If the user desires, guest groups can be created, so visitors can access, upload, and download photos or videos while they’re inside your home.

Bevy features an Intel 2.16GHz dual-core Celeron processor with 2GB RAM and is available in blue, black, and purple and in two different size capacities 1TB and 2TB. The device has four USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet port (10/100/1000 Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, VGA port, HDMI-out port, headphone/optical out jack, SD memory card slot, headphone jack, and a Kensington lock slot (encrypted cloud backup will be available soon).

Bevy, is an easy to use solution that can help keep the photos and videos from various devices organized and in one location. Its user friendly interface and many use cases can make this device very appealing and an option to consider. For more information visit newburghtechgroup.com.
