Over $70k Raised at Celebrity Golf Fundraiser

ISELIN, NJ – Ronald McDonald House Charities® New York Tri-State Area (RMHC-NYTSA) raised over $70,000 at its annual Lou Damiano Golf Outing at the Paramount Country Club in the Hudson Valley. New York Mets infielder Wilmer Flores, Brooklyn Nets forward Anthony Bennett, The Rockettes, the Brooklynettes and FOX 5 sportscaster Duke Castiglione were among the 160+ guests who attended the event along with local McDonald’s franchisees and supporters.

“We exceeded our fundraising goals this year thanks, in large part, to our long-time donors and new celebrity supporters,” said Christopher Perry, Executive Director of RMHC-NYSTA. “We’re pleased to see this event continue to grow and attract the participation of so many high-profile individuals who believe in our mission.”

The funds raised will go towards RMHC-NYTSA’s mission of finding, creating and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children.The organization’s signature programs include college scholarships, community grants to children’s charities and five local Ronald McDonald Houses, which allow families to be with their hospitalized children for extended periods of time.

The event also honored local Westchester McDonald’s franchisee Peter Samaha for his contributions to RMHC-NYTSA, which span nearly three decades.
