Race to Recover America’s Missing Children

POUGHKEEPSIE – Rick Brownell, owner of Freedom Ford, Inc., in Beacon, and Rob Doyle, Absolute Auctions & Realty’s certified appraiser, principal auctioneer and licensed real estate broker, have been selected to participate in Season 10, FIREBALL RUN Anniversary Edition, a 26-episode adventure-travel competition series distributed by Amazon Instant Video.

FIREBALL RUN tracks 40 rally teams competing in a legendary 8-day,2,000-mile, life-sized trivial pursuit game where the trivia comes to life. To win, they visit fascinating places, solving riddles and performing missions. Some experiences are historic, the missions challenging, and can be life changing. It’s all just for bragging rights, a greater cause and a plastic road sign. A US adventure-travel competition TV series, itinspires travel, and raises awareness for missing children.

Team #04 – Distinctly Dutchess’ Rick Brownell is a third generation automotive dealer. A life-long Fishkill resident, he is President of the Beacon Chamber of Commerce. Rob Doyle’s been conducting storage auctions for 30 years. He was inducted into the National Auctioneers Hall of Fame in 2006, having served as the 50th president of the National Auctioneers Association. Nancy Brownell, Rick’s wife, will fill-in for Doyle for one leg of the race. The Distinctly Dutchess drivers mean business! Fast talking Auctioneer Rob and Ford tough car dealer Rick say, “If you’re not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!”

This team represents Tiffany Dixon, who was abducted on October 10, 1991 from Brooklyn, NY. Team #04 Distinctly Dutchess is distributing 1,000 posters during the live production in an effort to raise awareness for the missing child. Since 2007 Fireball Run’s efforts have aided in the successful recovery of 45 missing children.

Hosted by YouTube travel star Ivan Ellis and professional wrestler Sassy Stephie, FIREBALL RUN is the only episodic series filmed in real time, as it happens. All elements of the show are authentic, including contestant outcome and reaction. Not a Reality TV series, Fireball Run is factual entertainment. Factual TV is a genre of non-fiction depicting actual events and people.
Most of the challenges are once in a lifetime, rare, exclusive, of historic experiences, although some are physical challenges. Notable season 10 contestants include Brazilian astronaut Marcos Pontes, actor Brian O’Halloran (Clerks, Dogma, Chasing Amy), billionaire reality star Jacqueline Siegel (Queen of Versailles, Wife Swap, Hotwives of Las Vegas), and has the time car from Back to the Future along with other unique vehicles.

In Dutchess County, all are welcome to attend two free city-wide celebrations: the 40 teams’ arrival in the City of Beacon, Wed. Sept. 28th from 3-6 pm, and the teams’ departure from the City of Poughkeepsie, Thurs. Sept. 29th, 8-10am. Enjoy music, family fun activities and fun festivities.
