U.S. Air Force Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Joseph Spencer graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Spencer is the son of Annmarie and Barry Spencer, and brother of Thomas Spencer, John Spencer, and Regina Spencer, all of Mohegan Lake, N.Y.
He is a 2002 graduate of Lakeland High School, Shrub Oak, N.Y. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 2007 from Mercy College, Dobbsferry, N.Y.
