Who Will it Be Depends on Who You Will Be!

Well, 11 days from the time that this is being written we will have a new President. Who that will be depends on who you will be.

What will you be basing your decision on, who you will be voting for? Have you done your own personal research or is your decision to whom will be the next occupant of the White House being based upon the various news reports that have been coming forward?

I found myself faced with the realization that the media makes the President. All that we’ve heard is the two Presidential candidates that have come forth from the news media. What do we really know other than what we’ve been told by them?

Yes, we’ve heard some remarks brought forward by each of the Presidential candidates, but the news media’s analysis of their words has usually been what most folks have allowed to penetrate their minds. Wow! Seriously think about that. So far we haven’t heard too much regarding what each candidate’s plans are once they become President. We’ve heard the media giving their versions of what each candidate has brought forward and we’ve also heard other spokespersons giving their points of view.

What do we “Really” know? What do we feel about what we’ve heard so far? Have we given any Serious thoughts about this or have we allowed ourselves to be content with what has so far been given to us by the news media? What are our hopes and desires for the future of America?

What are our dreams for our country? What do we envision for our country’s future? What do we feel can be done to reverse the hatred and racism that’s so prevalent throughout the land? Are we satisfied and content with that? What are our ideas regarding all of this or are we satisfied and content with it?

Are we satisfied with the amount of poverty that’s in existence in our country? Are we satisfied with the status of Race relations in this country?

Are we satisfied with the lack of liveable  wage jobs in this country? Are we satisfied with the police/community relations in this country? Are we satisfied with the violence in this country?

Which one of the two running for president do you feel will be about seriously addressing these problems? Which one do you feel will strive towards making our country a true land of liberty and justice for all? Which one will strive towards making our country truly the land of the free. Freedom from hatred, freedom from injustice, freedom from all those things that are the causative factors for where we are today?

Let me leave you with the “Awesome” words of our slain leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“Human progress never rolls in on the wheels of inevitability. It comes through the tireless effort and the persistent work of dedicated individuals. Will we continue to march to the drum beat of conformity or will we, listening to the beat of a more distant drum, move to it’s echoing sounds? Shall we say the odds are too great? Shall we tell them the struggle is too hard? Or will there be another message, of longing, of hope, of commitment?”

November 8th, which is election day, we will have the opportunity to make the decision as to what direction this country should be heading in. Seriously Think About That! Choose wisely and don’t allow yourselves to be caught up with anything else but desiring Liberty & Justice For All!

This is Lillie’s Point of View and I’m just having my say!
