Army Col. David W. Bottcher has retired from the U.S. Army after serving honorably for 26 years.
Bottcher was last serving as Future Operations and Counterterrorism Division chief with U.S. Africa Command, Kelley Barracks, Germany.
He is a 1983 graduate of Elmira Free Academy, Elmira, N.Y. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 1990 from U.S. Military Academy, West Point, N.Y.
