SUNY Ulster Issues Call For Presentations

STONE RIDGE – SUNY Ulster is hosting its Third Annual OwnIt! Entrepreneurial Women’s Conference on June 1, 2017 and is seeking regional experts for consideration as workshop leaders in a variety of entrepreneurship-related subjects.

The theme of this year’s one-day conference is Ready, Start, Grow and will serve both small business owners ready to grow their businesses, as well as start-up stage entrepreneurs. For the first time, OwnIt! will feature two tracks of workshops for these two audiences.

Workshop proposals are sought in areas of start-up or growth-stage issues and information such as planning, financing, marketing, leadership, sales, technology, and building teams. Other topic suggestions are also welcome. The deadline for submitting workshop proposals is December 15, 2016.

The conference, once again sponsored by The Darlene L. Pfeiffer Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at SUNY Ulster, the Ulster community College Foundation, Inc, and the Mid-Hudson Small Business Development Center, was attended by over 100 small business owners and entrepreneurs in both 2015 and 2016, with a larger audience expected this year.

Regional experts who wish to be considered to conduct a workshop should contact Mindy Kole, kolem@sunyulster.edu for the application or view the information on the Pfeiffer Center Facebook Page in the ‘Notes’ section.
