Black Knights Top St. Francis Brooklyn

WEST POINT – The Army West Point women’s basketball team picked up its fifth win in a row, defeating St. Francis Brooklyn, 69-46, on Saturday afternoon at Christl Arena. Army also improved its home winning streak to 21 contests.

Army improves to 6-1 on the year after the victory, while St. Francis Brooklyn falls to 1-6.

Sophomore Madison Hovren finished with a game-high 17 points and 10 rebounds for her third straight double-double to led four Army scorers in double figures. Junior Janae McNeal reached double digits for the third game in a row and totaled 12 points, five assists and four steals, while classmates Destinee Morris and Lena’ Hicks netted 11 points and 10 points, respectively.

Jade Johnson led St. Francis Brooklyn with nine points, and Olivia Levey tallied eight points and a game-high 13 boards.
