Black Pioneers of Newburgh to be Held Feb. 18

NEWBURGH – The Second Annual Black Pioneers of Newburgh will be held at the Newburgh Free Library on Sat., Feb. 18 at 1 p.m.

“Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” will recognize those who have reached a pinnacle of achievement in their professional and personal endeavors, and honor their accomplishments. The event will include a Caribbean style lunch, keynote speaker and entertainment. The program is sponsored by MVP Health Care in collaboration with the City of Newburgh Human Rights Commission and local businesses. Pre-registration is required.

Philip Howard is the keynote speaker, and the Newburgh Performing Arts Academy dancers will perform. Honorees include: Larry Arnold, Clarence Cooper, Arreda Cotten, Anthony Grice Jr., Robert Moody, Tashae Smith, Sadie Tallie and Kevin White.
