Veterans Honored With Valentines Day Cards

MIDDLETOWN - Head Start students answered Representative Sean Patrick Maloney’s call to recognize veterans just in time for Valentine’s Day. Last week students crafted 100 cards to honor veterans for their service as part of Maloney’s annual “Valentines for Our Veterans” project. The preschool-age children used handprints, doilies, glitter, and yarn to decorate their messages. Maloney is the son of a Navy Veteran and for the past three years has announced the project which appeals to schools, organizations, individuals and families in the Hudson Valley.
