Cornerstone Family Healthcare Welcomes New Providers

NEWBURGH—Cornerstone Family Healthcare’s rapidly expanding foot print has increased the need for committed providers. We welcome these three providers to a team that is dedicated to providing high-quality health care to the communities we serve.

LaJuan Booker, NP received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Mont Saint Mary College in Newburgh. She has over 16 years of experience providing and instructing in the areas of patient care, nursing protocol and techniques. Booker is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has previous experience as an adjunct clinical instructor at Mount Saint Mary College and experience in perinatal, anti-partum and post-partum medicine. Booker will be seeing patients on Cornerstone’s Mobile Health Unit traveling throughout the Hudson Valley.

Lynn Higgins, BA, BS, PA-C, FAAPA received her Physician Assistant Degree from Long Island University and completed a HIV residency at Albany Medical Center. She has over 30 years of experience in health care. Higgins is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant. She is interested in the fields of infection prevention and HIV/Hepatitis C care as well. Previously, Higgins completed a two-year contract at Westchester Medical Center in AIDS/HIV Care Center. Higgins will be seeing patients in Cornerstone’s Urgent Care department at the Lake Street office in Newburgh.

Evelyn Santiago, FNP-BC received her Masters of Science in Nursing from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Bronx, NY. Santiago has served as a Family Nurse Practitioner for three years and as a Registered Nurse for over 10 years. She is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Previously, she was an adjunct clinical instructor for undergraduate nursing students at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. She is interested in the fields of pediatrics, women’s health, wound care, family health, adolescent care, and veteran’s health. Santiago is currently seeing patients in the Urgent Care department as well as in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department at Cornerstone’s Lake Street office in Newburgh. Santiago will be Cornerstone’s provider in the new Plattekill location upon opening.
