NEWBURGH – Recently, Bishop Dunn Memorial School’s Drama Club performed “Anything Goes,” the 1934 beloved musical with book and lyrics by Cole Porter, said BDMS principal Nancy Benfer.
The BDMS Drama Club gave three performances of “Anything Goes” over Memorial Day weekend at Mount St. Mary College’s Aquinas Hall. The classic musical featured such songs as “Anything Goes”, “You’re the Top”, and “I Get a Kick Out of You.” The music was performed by a live professional orchestra.
“The students, producers, choreographers and orchestra really outdid themselves this year,” said Mrs. Benfer. “The musical was an absolute delight and ended each evening with standing ovations. We are also very thankful to Mount St. Mary College for use of their beautiful stage and auditorium once again.”
