SALISBURY MILLS – Recently the new movie “The Irishman” directed by Martin Scorsese has been filming in the Rockland Couny towns of Suffern and Blauvelt.
This week filming moved to the Orange County hamlet of Salisbury Mills and a local favorite spot Weirs Ice cream on Rt 94.
The scenes included a kiddie park constructed just for filming and also some early 1950’cars along with Pacino DeNiro and Pesci
“The Irishman” also known under title “I Heard You Paint Houses” is set in early 1950’s and 1970’s. The main premise of movie is a mob hit man recalls his possible involvement with the slaying of Teamsters Jimmy Hoffa.
The film stars Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Anna Pauquin, Harvey Keitel and Ray Romano and is scheduled for a 2018 release.
