Saturday, County Executive candidate Patrick Davis and other Orange County Democratic candidates, received the endorsement of Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney.
Congressman Maloney represents New York’s 18th District, which includes all of Orange County, and currently serves on the House Agriculture Committee and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Representative Maloney has a proven track record of working to deliver solutions for Orange County and the Hudson Valley.
“Pat Davis and the rest of the Democratic slate are just the kind of new leaders we need to shake things up in Orange County,” said Representative Maloney. “These folks will fight to bring good-paying jobs and opportunity to our families and I’m proud to endorse them.”
Davis, a West Point graduate who also holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, will bring a wide array of skills and qualities honed during his military and business career to the role of Orange County Executive. He emphasizes efficient budgeting and prudent financial management to meet the County’s needs without wasting taxpayer dollars, and a transparent and accountable style of leadership that aims to restore public trust in government.
Davis says, “I am absolutely honored to have the endorsement of Congressman Maloney, and I am looking forward to working with him if the people chose me to be their next County Executive. I’m also proud to be leading a charge of terrific Democratic candidates stepping up to put people over politics. The feedback has been tremendous, and I’m looking forward to November 7th.”
In addition to Davis, following the 2016 Presidential Election, Orange County has seen a surge in Democratic candidates stepping forward to seek office for the first time. Many of whom are women and/or minority candidates, who have been consistently underrepresented as publicly elected officials.
“Congressman Maloney, Patrick Davis and our whole slate of Democratic candidates epitomize how the Democratic Party presents candidates and office holders who know how to govern through rationale policies that benefit all citizens,” said Orange County Democratic Committee Chairman Brett Broge. “It makes sense that we work together to have Democratic control of all levels of government as opposed to the dysfunction and favoritism of the Trump and Neuhaus administrations.”
