PROVIDENCE, RI – The Marist men’s basketball team suffered a 90-69 loss at Brown in its final non-conference game of the season on Friday at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Junior forward Isaiah Lamb scored a career-high 28 points for the Red Foxes.
There were nine lead changes and seven ties in the game, all of which occurred in the game’s first 12 minutes. During this time, neither team led by more than five points.
Brown outscored Marist 16-4 in the final 5:44 of the first half, and led 46-31 after the first 20 minutes.
Lamb’s dunk on Marist’s second possession of the second half brought the Red Foxes to within 13. They never drew any closer.
Brown’s lead reached as high 26, which came with 3:30 to play.
Marist opens conference play on Friday, Dec. 29 when the Red Foxes host Siena at McCann Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
