KIAMESHA LAKE – Resorts World Catskills will open its doors to the public for the first time on February 8. That is one month ahead of the March 1 deadline to open set by the state.
“With our opening, we look forward to driving tourism to the Catskills, stimulating the economy and making meaningful contributions that help put the Catskills back on the map as a premier getaway and true destination,” said Charles Degliomini, executive vice president of Resorts World Catskills.
Doors will open at 8 a.m. on the first day. The casino will be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Following its public opening, the facility plans to mark the 15-day Lunar New Year celebration with a series of festivities and events. A grand opening celebration is scheduled for May.
