MIDDLETOWN – SUNY Orange’s architectural technology program, in partnership with Collier Construction and Bruyn Designed, is hosting an ACE Mentor Program of America series this Spring at the College’s Middletown campus.
The first session was held on Feb. 14 in the Rowley Center for Science and Engineering. Ten local high school students attended, and were guided through a structural design challenge by Jim Bruyn, of Bruyn Designed. The ACE Mentor Program offers high school students the opportunity to explore the fields of architecture, construction and engineering.
The program will run throughout the spring and will include local practitioners like Bruyn (a 1999 graduate of SUNY Orange), along with the College’s architecture faculty and students, working with the high school students. The next session is March 14.
