Evangelist Billy Graham Dies at the Age of 99

William Franklin Graham Jr. was an American evangelical Christian evangelist and an ordained Southern Baptist minister who became well known internationally after 1949. He has been looked upon as one of the most influential preachers of the 20th century. He held large indoor and outdoor rallies with sermons that were broadcast on radio and television, some still being re-broadcast into the 21st century.

He died last Wednesday, February 21, at his home in Montreat, North Carolina, at the age of 99. No cause of death was officially disclosed. On February 28 and March 1, 2018, Billy Graham will become the fourth private citizen in United States history to lie in honor in the Rotunda of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C.
