This Country is Heading Towards Self-Destruction

This evening as I sat watching the various “news” programs and reading the newspapers I found myself feeling very sad in my spirit. My heart was very overwhelmed due to what I was seeing, reading, and hearing as it pertains to man’s inhumanity to man. What is happening to our country, in fact, to our world? How are we able to have any peace of mind due to all of the madness that is going on all around us? “Racism” is alive and flourishing very well throughout our society. Truthfully, I find that to be very strange in a country that claims to be so religious. The Bible says in 1st Peter 4:17 “For it is time for judgement to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

It’s getting to the point that I don’t enjoy watching the news, nor reading the newspapers anymore for there is so much going on, as it pertains to evil, throughout our society. Why can’t, and why are we unable to get along? These are some very “serious” questions that need to be given some very serious thought regarding “prejudice” and “racism” for they can cause one to possibly think in a different way. To my “White” sisters and brothers I ask you to ask yourselves: 1) How are you oblivious to those that you have the power over? 2)Why are you afraid of those who are different? 3)Why are you afraid? 4) How are you afraid? 5) How does this fear affect the other? Your answers to these questions should be given some real serious thought. Don’t allow yourselves the temptation to rush to superficial (and dishonest) answers to these questions such as: 1)”I’m not racist or prejudiced, I have black friends. You find your true identity in this place of hard questions. You discover what you truly think, your actual point of view. How you really feel about the state of the world, and the shades of gray in your own heart. Don’t avoid the hard questions. Let the anger flow, let the sadness come….for this is the gateway to change and real joy. Don’t give up. Our world is changed one hard question at a time. Always remember that hatred and prejudice is passed down from generation to generation. We must let it go!!!

We must be concerned regarding what is happening in our world. Our world is broken. We must realize that and join hands in trying to fix it. If not, why not? But we must realize that God’s “Word” tells us the way that things would be in the “Last Days” and we see them unfolding before our very eyes. Let us not forget what the world needs now is love, sweet love for that’s the only thing that there is just too little of. Let us all wake up and realize exactly what time it is and why things are going on the way that they are. We must ‘Never” forget that according to the gospel “All” men (that includes women) are equal in the sight of God.

I truly do believe in my heart that we are seeing the “Last Days” unfolding before our very eyes. In what is known as the Olivet Prophecy, Jesus reveals to us that ethnic strife would abound at the end of the age. For Matthew 24: 6-7 says, “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.” We’re presently seeing that going on throughout the world.

We should expect more sectarian violence in our future. The question is this: Will you allow yourself to be involved in the hate-filled spirit of the age, or will you recognize whose fingerprints are on bigotry and hatred and keep yourself from it? The biblical record is clear that “All” men are equal in the sight of God. Let me end this with Psalm 133:1, “Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell in unity!” And as Jesus tells us in John 13:35, “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” To that I say, “I should love you and you should love me, for that’s the way that God planned it to be, to bring Peace and Love and Harmony throughout our society.”

Think it not strange that President Trump is behaving the way that he is for we see God’s Word unfolding before our very eyes. We must look up and know that our redemption is nigh for the Son Of Man (Jesus) is most definitely on His way back. “Even so come Lord Jesus!” Yes! Yes! Yes!
