DWDC Celebrates With 30th Anniversary Gala

INWOOD – The Dominican Women’s Development Center (DWDC) celebrated its 30th Anniversary Gala, marking three decades of transforming lives by providing vital community programs for women, and families in Washington Heights and Inwood. Gala honorees included composer, lyricist and actor, Lin-Manuel Miranda; Dr. Casilda Balmaceda (CEO of Neurology Associates) and philanthropist Jean Shafiroff.

Founded by activist Rosita Romero, DWDC is a not-for-profit organization that promotes gender equality and social justice, while providing essential programs in women, family and children’s education, healthcare and support services. The gala took place on October 25th, 2018 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
