TOWN OF WALLKILL – Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus, an officer in the Naval Reserves, who announced recently that he will be deployed to the Middle East shortly, now has a date for his active duty.
He told the Orange County Chamber of Commerce meeting in the Town of Wallkill recently that he will be leaving soon.
Neuhaus said he is just one of many locals who are being called up for active duty.
“A lot of people ask what they can do for me. It’s not for me. We have a lot of people leaving from Orange County overseas – hundreds of people will be leaving in the next few months for some important stuff that are going on overseas and they don’t get a lot of love. Keep them in your prayers.”
As Neuhaus completed his remarks, the chamber membership gave him a rousing standing ovation.
