OC Sheriff Carl E. DuBois Announces Promotions

GOSHEN – Sheriff Carl E. DuBois proudly announces the following promotions on the Road Division:

Larry Cottone from First Sergeant to Lieutenant. Lt. Cottone is a 27-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office who began his career in Corrections and worked his way through the ranks from Deputy Sheriff to Investigations Sergeant to his current assignment as First Sergeant overseeing the Patrol Division.

William Cluney from Deputy to Sergeant. Sergeant Cluney is entering his fourth year and has provided integral work at the Sheriff’s Office saving thousands of dollars.

James Lynch and Timothy Riordan from Investigator to Senior Investigator. Sr. Investigator Lynch is a 13-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office and will supervise the Pistol Licensing Division. Sr. Investigator Riordan is entering his 6th year and has been assigned to the Investigations Division for over four years.

Kelsey McDonough and Joseph Morales from Deputy to Investigator. Inv. McDonough is moving through her fourth year and is a plank-owner in the newly created Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center. Inv. Morales is about to enter his 8th year and has been a key player in all Divisions of the Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff DuBois commented to each member as he presented them with their new badges. “I commend each one of you for the professional work you perform each and every day. I am confident with these promotions you will continue the great work you do for me and the people of Orange County.”
