GOSHEN – Two U.S. Navy Blue Angels made an advance visit to New York Stewart International Airport in Newburgh on Friday to plan for the team’s performance at the 2019 New York Air Show, which is scheduled for August 24-25.
Lieutenant Cary Rickoff and Lieutenant Commander Adam Kerrick arrived at the airport’s second aviation ramp shortly after noon in a Blue Angels F/A-18. Rickoff and Kerrick met with officials from Orange County, the New York Air Show, the airport and other support agencies to discuss logistics for this summer’s event. The Blue Angels also headlined the 2017 New York Air Show at Stewart International Airport.
“The Blue Angels jet demonstration squadron are world renowned and we are thrilled that they are returning to Orange County to perform,” Neuhaus said. “The Blue Angels on the schedule will attract large crowds to this year’s event. The New York Air Show has been a tremendous success and a great showcase of Orange County and Stewart Airport, and we’re excited for another great Show in August.”
