Twin Brothers Now Linked to Robbery and Murder

GOSHEN – A Newburgh man was indicted on charges of murder, robbery, attempted robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and conspiracy. At the same time as Dominique Williams, 22, was arraigned on those charges, his twin brother, Devin Williams, was charged with robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and conspiracy.

Dominique is accused of pulling the trigger and killing Antwuan Thomas, 28, of Newburgh during a botched robbery on November 3, 2018 near Liberty and Clinton streets in Newburgh.
Both brothers are also charged with committing a gunpoint robbery on November 1, 2018 near Liberty Street in Newburgh. They also allegedly were part of the conspiracy to commit robberies and possess weapons.

In addition to investigating the crimes in the indictment, Newburgh Police and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office are investigating two shootings that occurred shortly after Thomas was fatally shot.

Shortly after that shooting, a man who had been with Dominique Williams was shot and killed in the vicinity of 319 Liberty Street in Newburgh. Dominique Williams is believed to have been shot in the arm during that incident.

Bail was set at $1 million cash or $2 million bond for Dominique Williams and $100,000 cash or $200,000 bond for Devon Williams.

District Attorney David Hoovler asked anyone with information about those events to call Newburgh City Police “so that together we can end the violence that is plaguing Newburgh.”
