Lauren Naru Named Director of Marketing

The Orange County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome Lauren Naru as its new Director of Marketing and Communications. In this role, Ms. Naru will be responsible for managing the research, planning, execution and evaluation of the Chamber’s marketing and communications programs, both external and internal.

“Lauren brings a wealth of professional, creative, and innovative expertise to this position,” says Lynn Allen Cione, Chamber President and CEO. “She is a proven leader in her field and is well respected in the region as a highly skilled communicator. She has also owned her own business so she can easily relate with our members as a peer. We are thrilled that she is part of our Orange County Chamber team.”

Ms. Naru joins the Orange County Chamber of Commerce with more than 15 years of public relations and marketing experience. She had a successful career in New York City, working her way up to the position of Senior Vice President supporting clients such as JetBlue, Chobani Greek Yogurt, Carnival Cruise Lines, Heineken USA, Best Buy, P&G and more. Four years ago Ms. Naru founded Lauren Naru Communications, focused on serving Hudson Valley-based businesses. Ms. Naru is also a contributing writer for Hudson Valley Magazine and Taste of Home .

Ms. Naru received a B.A. in Communications from Fordham University. A lifelong resident of Newburgh, she is an active member in the community and has volunteered with Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, the Newburgh Armory Unity Center, and the 3 Up 3 Down Organization.
