Mount Students Get an Insider Look at NYSE

MANHATTAN – Two dozen Mount students recently got an inside look at the business of investing at the New York Stock Exchange in Manhattan.

The trip is offered periodically by the college’s Career Center and the Student Business Association.

The students were joined by Thomas Fitzmaurice, assistant professor of Finance in the Mount’s School of Business. They enjoyed a tour of the facilities, including connecting with Mount alumnus Tom Ferrigno ’90, who works at the Stock Exchange.

“The students toured the Exchange and spent time with several of the floor traders, discussing its history and the changes to its business operations in recent years due to technological advances,” noted Fitzmaurice.
