Gann Qualifies For NCAA Championships

POUGHKEEPSIE – Sophomore Ayden Gann is heading to Geneva, OH. In a standout sophomore season, Gann ranked 20th across Division III with an 800-meter time of 1:52.15. He now is able to compete at the 2018-19 NCAA Championships that runs from May 23-25.

Gann has steadily improved each meet this season and ran his best time at the West Point Twilight Meet on May 9. At the Liberty League Championships on May 4, he defended his 800 title, running a 1:52.88 for first place. He is coming off a sixth-place performance at the All-Atlantic Region Championships on Thursday. He ran a 1:55.09 that meet.

Gann becomes the first men’s track and field athlete to qualify for the NCAA Championships since Taylor Vann ‘16 became a decathlon All-American in 2016.
