Washingtonville Student-Athletes Announce Plans

WASHINGTONVILLE – On May 22, a group of 18 Washingtonville High School (WHS) athletes announced their collegiate plans during the 2019 Spring College Signing Day hosted by the WHS athletics department.

Washingtonville Athletic Director Gary Vyskocil announced each athlete, which included a brief description of their accomplishments throughout their high school career and a list of colleges they were recruited by. In front of family, friends, coaches, teammates, and administrators, the students then signed a ceremonial letter of intent declaring their intention to play their respective sports and colleges.

The commitments included: Dyana Budakowski, Softball, Herkimer College; Angelina Packtor, Softball, Herkimer College; Lily Moreno, Softball, Keene State College; Liam Gildea, Track & Field, SUNY Plattsburgh; Paige Bacigal, Swimming, St. Francis University; Britney Caligiuri, Track & Field, SUNY Oneonta; Jared Davidson, Track & Field, SUNY Plattsburgh; Emily Gerdin, Track & Field, Hillsdale College; Cameron Aviles, Track & Field, SUNY Plattsburgh; Josh Hernandez, Baseball, Penn State Berks; Aidan Hopper, Football, Sacred Heart University; Elizabeth (Izzy) Kocienda, Track & Field, SUNY Plattsburgh; Kareen Lubin, Basketball, SUNY Cortland; Jamie Marando, Lacrosse, The College of Saint Rose; Tommy Maddox, Wrestling, University at Buffalo; Yoansy Ortiz, Baseball, College of Saint Elizabeth; Daniela Raymond, Track & Field, SUNY Plattsburgh; and Katerina Whelan, Track & Field, College of Mount Saint Vincent.
