Newburgh Repair Café’s Third Community Event

NEWBURGH – On Saturday, June 8th, dozens of community members attended the Newburgh Repair Café’s third event at Grit Works in Newburgh. Families showed up with their bikes, lamps and small appliances to get repaired by local repair coaches, and families learned about the benefits of recycling and participated in free activities planned by students from NFA P-TECH. The bike repair coaches ensured that 13 people left with working bicycles, right in time for summer. The mood was festive, with music provided by Rene Campos from DMU Music, free ice cream and face painting, and a pop-up park complete with games.
