Support of Virginia Scott, a candidate for town council

Dear Editor:

On Tuesday, November 5, I will be casting my vote for Virginia Scott for Cornwall Town Council.

Virginia has been a community volunteer for more than 25 years and has worked tirelessly to improve our town. Her years as an educator in the Washingtonville School District has made her aware of the importance of looking to the future. She will work to support programs to improve the lives of our entire community.

Virginia is sensitive to the needs of the residents in our community. She regularly attends Town Board and Orange County Legislative Meetings. She understands that county-level decisions will impact our community as well.

I have witnessed Virginia’s ability to speak respectfully to all people and to listen to all opinions. These qualities are an asset that will allow her to effectively work with the Town Council to find solutions to reduce local taxes and promote economic development.

I hope you will join me in voting for Virginia Scott in November. She is dedicated to and highly engaged in our community and will bring that dedication to her role as a Town Council member. Her platform of affordability, sustainability, and accountability will benefit us all.
