Meals on Wheels Volunteers Appreciation Luncheon

NEW WINDSOR – More than 115 volunteers with Meals on Wheels of Greater Newburgh enjoyed an appreciation luncheon in their honor recently at the New Windsor Community Center.

“Our volunteers truly turn our wheels,” said MOW President Carole McDermott. “The luncheon was a token of our heartfelt appreciation for the thousands of hours our volunteers give to help in the kitchen and to deliver hot, nutritious meals to residents of Newburgh and New Windsor who are homebound and in need.”

Philip Lawry, Board member and luncheon co-chair, noted that “a good time was had by all,” and Robin Bello, MOW executive director, added, “We want to thank our sponsors and prize donors for their generous support, which made the day even more special.”
