MIDDELTOWN – Today, Crystal Run Healthcare learned that one of its patients tested positive for COVID-19. Providers and staff involved in the care of the patient followed Crystal Run’s stringent COVID-19 plan, based on Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and New York State Department of Health (DOH) guidelines. As a result, they were able to identify the patient quickly and take appropriate action, working in conjunction with local public health authorities.
As the largest provider of medical services in the region, serving patients in Orange, Sullivan and Rockland counties, Crystal Run recognized the inevitability of diagnosing COVID-19 among those for whom we provide care. Accordingly, Crystal Run has been preparing for this eventuality for weeks.
Crystal Run is committed to doing everything possible to minimize the spread of Coronavirus in our community and will continue to follow the guidance of the CDC and DOH to ensure the safety of our patients, staff and community.
