Dutchess Clerk’s Office Closed to the Public

DUTCHESS COUNTY – Effective March 30, 2020, the Dutchess County Clerk’s Office will be closed to the public due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to receive allowable court filings through the NYSCEF filing system. For more information on permissible filings please visit: https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/HomePage

The second floor Record Room will be open Monday through Friday from 1-4 PM for title searching only.

All NYS Department of Motor Vehicle Offices and all Dutchess County Offices remain closed.
If you need to surrender license plates, please mail them to:

Include $1 cash or check and a self-addressed stamped envelope so we may send you the receipt. If you have more than 1 year left on the registration please indicate if you would like a refund or a credit for a future vehicle. Your plate surrender receipt will be dated based on the post mark.
