Delgado Pays Visit to Hudson Rolling Grocer 19

HUDSON – On Monday, August 17, U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) visited the Rolling Grocer 19, a grocery store located in downtown Hudson. During his visit, Representative Delgado spoke with Logistics Co-Manager & Director of Development, Michelle Hughes, and Retail Co-Manager, Selha “Cece” Graham, about their work to address food insecurity in Columbia County. The tour also included a look at the Rolling Grocer’s mobile operations, including food delivery and a trailer that brings high-quality local food to rural communities.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated food insecurity across our district and I am grateful for resources like the Rolling Grocer that provide locally sourced food through their fair pricing model. This model allows folks to pay what they can and allows RG19 to supply the community with nutritious food at prices they can afford – a model that should be replicated across our state and country,” said Rep. Delgado, a member of the House Agriculture Committee. “More than three months ago, I voted for the Heroes Act, which includes vital measures to support our local farmers and hungry families in our community. I will continue to advocate for access to nutrition assistance and champion the needs of the most vulnerable among us.”
