Marist College Student-Athletes of the Month

POUGHKEEPSIE – Chidera Udeh and Arthur Pinckney were named the Marist Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement (CSAE) Student-Athletes of the Month for September.

Udeh is a senior middle blocker on the volleyball team, and is from Charlotte, North Carolina. She is a Communication-Public Relations major. Udeh is Vice President/Director of Marketing for Marist’s Black Student-Athlete Alliance (BSAA). She is a three-time Dean’s List honoree, and two-time selection to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic Team. Udeh attended the Black Student-Athlete Summit at the University of Texas in January of 2020. Her community service activities include volunteering at Grace Smith House and Habitat for Humanity Restore, as well as donating to the Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie Pumpkin Walk.

Pinckney is a red-shirt sophomore linebacker on the football team. He is a History/Adolescent Education-Special Education five-year program major from Union, New Jersey. Pinckney serves as Co-President of BSAA. He handles assembly/social media management duties at New Jersey Arts World, and is a grounds worker at Marist. He has volunteered at Solid Rock Baptist Church food pantry, and has visited area schools with the football team.
