Catholic Charities Receives Coat Donation

WARWICK – While we are still enjoying the warm days of autumn, the cool nights are a reminder that winter is just around the corner. In anticipation of the impending cold weather, Catholic Charities of Orange, Sullivan, and Ulster received a donation of new winter coats for children from the Warwick Valley Knights of Columbus Council #4952. Catholic Charities staff will distribute the donated coats to local families in need.

“We are blessed to receive this generous donation of new children’s coats from Warwick Knights of Columbus,” said Michael Peters, Resource Exchange Coordinator. “Throughout the fall, Catholic Charities is the grateful beneficiary of various area coat drives, however, new and gently-used coats for boys and girls are frequently in short supply. We are incredibly grateful to the Knights for making this gift that will warm the bodies and the spirits of young people this winter,” added Peters.

Mr. Peters accepted the donation of coats from Council members Jack Ellis and Bob Long at St. Stephen’s Church in Warwick.
