Education Center Offers ‘Chef Du Jour’ Classes

PORT EWEN – Calling all aspiring chefs! Are you interested in honing your cooking skills while exploring a variety of culinary favorites from about the world? The Ulster BOCES Adult Career Education Center invites you to register for their new Chef Du Jour culinary series being offered this spring.

Join Culinary Institute of America-trained chefs to learn about and make all different kinds of foods. Upcoming classes include:

Cooking Classes
Holy Ravioli! – April 8
Divine Secrets of Southern Biscuits – May 6
Asian Dumplings – June 10

Baking Classes
Ooo-la-la! French Macarons – April 21
Introduction to Baking Bread – May 12
Berries, Cherries & Peaches…OH MY! – June 2

Chef Justin Nahow, a Culinary Arts instructor at Ulster BOCES, will lead cooking classes including Holy Ravioli!, Divine Secrets of Southern Biscuits, and Asian Dumplings.

Each class will be held at the Ulster BOCES Adult Career Education Center, located on Route 9W in Port Ewen, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM. All students will be required to wear a hair covering and face mask and bring an apron with them to use.

Their is a cost for each course, plus a cost for the food. Anyone interested in all three of the cooking classes or all three of the baking classes listed above has the option to register for a Cooking Bundle or Baking Bundle at a discounted price.
