Army Women’s Tennis Falls in PL Semifinal

ANNAPOLIS, MD. – The Army West Point women’s tennis team fell in the Patriot League semifinals to Navy, 4-3, on Saturday.

The Black Knights emerged with the doubles point in dramatic fashion. Stephanie Dolehide and Caroline Vincent dominated in No. 1 doubles with a 6-0 win. The Mids got one back winning on the second court by winning by a score of 6-4. The tandem of Paola Bou and Justine Dondonay won 7-6 in No. 3 doubles to give the Black Knights the early 1-0 lead.

In No. 1 singles Ana Joyner earned a 6-4, 6-2 victory to give Army the 2-0 advantage. The Cadets improved their lead to 3-0 with Bou earning a 6-2, 6-3 win, but the Mids managed to claw their way back and win the four remaining matches.
