Newburgh Free Library Says “Welcome Back!”

NEWBURGH – The Newburgh Free Library welcomes visitors to enter the Main Library at 124 Grand Street for one hour per day admitting up to 25 people at a time. The Newburgh Free Library Town Branch is admitting up to five people at a time to use the library for 30 minutes per day.

At both locations, visitors are required to wear masks, take their temperature, use hand sanitizer or put on gloves, and fill out a contract tracing form prior to using the library.

Walk-in Services available for community members are browsing books and DVDs; computer use; copying; faxing; notary; scanning; mobile print; and local history. Services by Appointments: Curbside Pick-up of Library Materials; Notary-English/Spanish; and Local History Room materials review.

Other services available include assistance registering for COVID-19 vaccination notifications by calling 845-563-3620 (English/Spanish) and Tech Support for devices call 845-563-3609.

Come and checkout our new Seed Library! The Newburgh Seed Library is a partnership between Our Core Inc. and the Library that will allow community members to access seeds for free (sign up here, https://www.ourcore.org/nsl) or by filling out one of the printed forms located at the library. Once you sign up you’ll get a Seed Library member sticker to put on your library card. There is currently a limit of five packets of seed per patron.

Our Main Library Hours are Monday & Thursday: 9am – 8pm; Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday: 9am – 5pm and closed Sunday. Our Town Branch Hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday,& Friday: 11am – 6pm; Wednesdays:11am-7pm; every other Saturday, 11am – 6pm and closed Sunday.
