NEW YORK CITY – New York Governor Kathy Hochul attended a special FDNY Memorial Service at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on the 20th anniversary of 9/11 on Saturday, September 11, 2021. The ceremony honored the 343 members of the New York City Fire Department who made the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11/01, but also honored the 200-plus members of service who developed illnesses during search and recovery efforts and died after 9/11.
