NEWBURGH – Senator James Skoufis (D-Hudson Valley) hosted “Newburgh Taco Sunday,” a City of Newburgh community celebration and resource fair on Sunday, September 26 in the parking lot adjacent to Skoufis’ district office.
Organized as a celebration of the many organizations and resources available to City of Newburgh residents, “Taco Sunday” featured free tacos by Newburgh’s own Paco’s Tacos, a live set by DJ Mizz Official, a free mobile vaccination station, games and activities, and more than 26 local partners sharing information about their work within the city. Partners include NAACP Newburgh-Highland Falls, Fearless!, SNUG, Head Start, Talk to Me About Cats, and many others.
“Since my district office opened here in the heart of Newburgh, my team and I have been welcomed time and again with open arms,” said Senator Skoufis. “Sunday’s event is about bringing together the best that the City of Newburgh has to offer and giving local residents an opportunity to get to know what their community and their State Senator can do for them.”
