NEW PALTZ – New Paltz High School (NPHS) recognizes goodness. Principal Dr. Samuelle Simms and Assistant Principal Kathleen Schneck-Suma recently handed out the school’s first-ever “Positive Vibes” Awards to nine students nominated by their teachers for having exhibited acts of kindness and citizenship within the school. The school’s new monthly award is one of many Social Emotional Learning (SEL) initiatives occurring throughout the District to address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on students’ wellness.
