Critical Fundraising For “Mission 003” Which is Launching

BEACON – On Saturday night at The Social in Beacon, Tara Simmons and her Flipit4life Team, were on hand, holding a critical fundraising venue for her “Mission 003” launching this summer. The third endurance feat aimed at raising awareness for Human Rights as well as the dire need to conquer fear through awareness and education, all while loving and respecting one another, will entail Simmons logging 2,700 miles of running and biking (70 cycling and 10 running per day for 40 days) taking her from Death Valley California all the way home to Beacon, NY, where she will conclude with a large group supported mountain run in her native City that she dearly loves.

Saturday’s well supported fundraising event, one of several that has already taken place, featured a visit from Fishkill Councilwoman Kenya Gadsen as well as a bevy of donations from such places as; Peekskill Bakery, Beacon Endurance, Blissful Esthetics in Poughkeepsie, Mrs. Flowers in Beacon as well as numerous people from all over the state.

Simmons is humbled and touched incredibly by all of the incredible support, energized more than ever to continue on the path that has become much bigger than herself. More work lies ahead.

“There is a lot of goodness happening, but it’s really all about showing up and spreading the word,” said a jubilant Simmons. “It’s going to take a village.”
