NEWBURGH – Ralph Staples and Shonna Robinson, two regular volunteers at the weekly “No one Goes Hungry” hot meal event, held each Thursday at 4:30 P.M. outside of Cathedral at Holy Trinity Church of Unity on 49 Chambers Street in the City of Newburgh, for the past five years, were busy last Thursday packing up the approximately 60 pickup meals, along with 25 ones to be delivered door-to-door. Last week’s meals included; two types of baked chicken, sausage, homemade macaroni and cheese, green beans, collard beans, rice and beans, as well as bottled water, supplied by Brothers Restaurant in New Windsor as well as Newburgh Mutual Aid. “Like the name says, we make sure everyone who comes, gets a plate,” said Robinson, as she loaded chicken into a takeout meal container, “The people are so grateful to get a hot meal, along with smiles as well as hear us singing to them.”
