“Rondout Reads” Continues at Marbletown

MARBLETOWN – Marbletown Elementary School (MES) believes that reading can be life changing. That’s why the school eagerly sent each student home with a copy of the book, “Just Ask,” by U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor. This is part of a PTA-sponsored initiative called Rondout Reads, which was developed by MES faculty and staff. The idea is to promote reading by having everyone in the school community read the same book.

MES Principal Andrew Davenport shared, “Reading aloud is a great way to bring families and communities together. Our Marbletown school community is already strong, and we hope that having conversations about one book—in this case one that celebrates diversity and individuality—will make it even stronger.”
