NFA Junior Headed to State Championships

NEWBURGH – NFA junior Aarav Shah competed in the OCIAA Boys Tennis Championships at Match Point in Goshen, NY. on May 18th – 20th. There were 12 student-athletes competing for the OCIAA Boys Singles Tennis Championship. Aarav took 3rd place, which qualified him to compete for the Section 9 title.

On May 24-25, Aarav competed in the Section 9 Boys Tennis Championships, again at Match Point. He defeated Middletown’s Kwaku Agyeman in the consolation (3-6, 6-4, 7-5) round to take third place in the tournament. The win qualified him for the NYSHPSAA Boys Tennis Championships which will be played at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on June 2nd. Congratulations Aarav and best of luck at states!
