City of Newburgh Deploys Mobile Police Station

NEWBURGH – The City of Newburgh Police Department will be launching a Mobile Police Station to enable a more agile and proactive policing response in the City of Newburgh.
The Mobile Police Station will enable police to address local issues where they occur, allow officers to deploy services where they are needed and ensures officers have a more visible presence in the community. As part of an operational plan to address issues on Liberty Street, the Mobile Police Station will be located at Liberty Street and South Street beginning on June 20, 2022.

During this time, the Police Department will institute a 90-day no parking, no stopping, no standing period with parking restrictions in effect at the following roads beginning on Monday, June 20, 2022 and ending on Saturday, September 17, 2022:

• North side of South Street (from 119 South Street to Chambers Street)

• North side of Gidney Avenue (from Liberty Street to Chambers Street)

• East side of Liberty Street (from 285 Liberty to 380 Liberty Street)

Temporary barriers will be posted along the impacted sides of the roads. Everyone must comply with these temporary parking restrictions which will be enforced by the City of Newburgh Police Department.

Cars parked in violation of these parking restrictions will be towed.
